Sweden-headquartered online gambling company, Mr Green has reportedly agreed to its first ever darts-based sponsorship deal with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Later this month, a series of social media promotions and associated price boosts will serve to celebrate the collaboration for ‘The Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals.

The Mr Green sponsored tournament, which runs from November 24-26 at the Butlins Minehead Resort in Somerset, England, follows a series of Players Championship events which last one day. The tournament itself will see 64 of the best players vie for £460,000 in prize money, including £100,000 which goes to the winner.

Both Mr Green’s website and social media will prominently display the promotions and price boosts during the tournament and to the build-up to the tournament. In addition to the United Kingdom, both the Netherlands and Germany will be the recipients of the deal’s biggest benefits, with strong broadcasting reach on local media and TV.

Commenting on the title sponsorship deal, CEO of Mr Green, Jesper Kärrbrinksaid: “We are excited to partner with the PDC and to be hosting the ‘The Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals’. Darts is a very popular sport for several of our key markets and we look forward to introducing Mr Green to this passionate fan base,” according to the press release.

Chief Executive for PDC, Matthew Porter, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Mr Green as the new title sponsor of the Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals. This exciting tournament which will give their new sportsbook product worldwide exposure as well as great interaction with a capacity crowd in Minehead.”

The partnership comes on the heels of the recently announced agreement between Mr Green and Celtic FC, along with the launch of its Sportsbook 2.0 product which features bespoke widgets such as Instant Tennis, Football Combi Spin and Bettorlogic statistics integration.
